I was first attracted to Len’s photography by his mastery of composition. Every element in an image is meticulously balanced for maximum effect.
As a model, I really enjoy working with Leonard. He is careful in setting up each shot. As he uses large format black and white film, his shooting style is a pleasant relief from the hundreds of shots an hour typical of modern digital cameras. He will produce maybe four or five well thought out images in an hour. He is always ready to consider input from the model, so that the finished image is a combination of his original artistic vision blended with input from the model to produce outstanding work.
